2. What data we process
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
- Account data: email, login credentials (stored as password hash), preferences.
- Diary data: your Journal Entries (text-only) and metadata (dates, tags).
- Review data: Submitted Entries and Reviews written for you.
- Subscription/billing data: subscription status, invoices, and payment metadata via Stripe.
- Technical/security data: IP address, device/browser data, security logs.
- Support data: messages you send to support and our replies.
Important: Your Entries may contain special category data. You choose what to write and what to submit.
2.1 Where your data comes from
We receive personal data:
- Directly from you when you use the Service.
- From Stripe (payment info).
- From your device/browser (technical logs).
- From analytics (if consented).
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data for:
- Providing the Service – Contract.
- Providing Reviews – Contract and Explicit consent (where required).
- Payments and accounting – Contract and Legal obligation.
- Security – Legitimate interests.
- Analytics – Consent.
3.1 Is providing data mandatory?
Yes, for core features (Account, Subscription). Reviews require you to submit entries.
4. Recipients
We share data with: Stripe, hosting providers, analytics providers (with consent), and professional advisers.
5. International transfers
We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers outside the EEA.
6. Retention
Entries/Reviews: Until deleted or account closed. Billing records: ~10 years. Logs: ~6-12 months.
7. Your rights
You have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, and object to processing, and to withdraw consent.
